Cathedral Square in Tarnów (Polish: ''Plac Katedralny w Tarnowie'') is a town square in the Old Town of Tarnów, located between and Kapitulna Street, adjacent to the Market Square, Tarnów, Market Square to the southeast. The square was established during the city's foundation on 7 March 1330. At the same time, construction began on the Gothic Tarnów Cathedral, which still stands today. Over the centuries, the square evolved through numerous construction projects, achieving its modern form at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Location Cathedral Square is situated in Tarnów's Old Town between and Kapitulna Street, bordered to the southeast by the Market Square, Tarnów, Market Square. At its center stands the Tarnów Cathedral, alongside the monument to Pope John Paul II, John Paul II and the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Tarnów () is a city in southeastern Poland with 105,922 inhabitants and a metropolitan area population of 269,000 inhabitants. The city is situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
