Carver High School (Atlanta, Georgia)
The New Schools at Carver (formerly the George Washington Carver Comprehensive High School) is a high school in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It is part of Atlanta Public Schools. Schools include Early College, Technology, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship, and Health Science and Research. The main building on the campus is Leete Hall (1922) designed by Alexander Hamilton and Henry White Jr. In 1922 this was the campus of Clark University and Gammon College. The colleges moved out of South Atlanta in 1941. The 2021-22 Carver Atlanta football team finished 12-3 and were runners up in the Class 3A state championship game, solidifying them as one of the greatest teams in APS history. They are coached by former Purdue Boilermaker Darren Myles. Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is a school district based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. It is run by the Atlanta Board of Education with Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson. The system has an active enrollment of 54,956 students, attending a total of 103 school sites: 50 elementary schools (three of which operate on a year-round calendar), 15 middle schools, 21 high schools, four single-gender academies and 13 charter schools. Otis Grant (American Football)
Otis Grant (August 13, 1961 – May 29, 2011) was an American football wide receiver who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans and was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round of the 1983 NFL draft. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Christopher Bailey (born May 29, 2000) is an American track and field athlete. He has won gold medals at the Olympic Games, the World Athletics Championships and World Athletics Indoors Championships. Quindarious "Smoke" Monday (born February 19, 2000) is an American professional football safety. He played college football at Auburn. Early life Monday attended Carver High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Monday was a four-star recruit and the sixth ranked athlete in the class of 2018. Monday decided to attend Auburn University over various Power 5 offers. College career As a freshman, Monday totaled 13 tackles, two sacks, and one interception. Monday's first career start was against Ole Miss, where he was almost ejected for targeting. Jo'Quavious Dequane "Woody" Marks (born December 29, 2000) is an American football running back for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and USC Trojans. Marks was selected by the Texans in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL draft.
