Carolina López-Chacarra
Carolina López-Chacarra Coto (born in 2003) is a Spanish golfer. As an amateur she won the 2019 Junior Vagliano Trophy, the 2022 Arnold Palmer Cup, the 2023 World University Golf Championships, 2023 European Ladies' Team Championship, and the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship. Early life López-Chacarra was born in Madrid and comes from a golfing family, her older brother Eugenio Chacarra is a European Tour player. Their home course is Golf La Moraleja, and their respective first collegiate wins came within three days of each other. Amateur career In 2020, she was runner-up at the Portuguese Ladies Amateur behind Alessia Nobilio and semi-finalist at the Spanish Ladies Amateur. She was runner-up at the 2022 World University Golf Championships in Italy behind Carla Tejedo Mulet. She made five consecutive appearances at the Augusta National Women's Amateur. The Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA) is a golf tournament in Georgia, held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta and Champions Retreat Golf Club in nearby Evans. stroke play event debuted The tournament is split between the two venues, with Champions Retreat hosting the opening rounds on Wednesday and Thursday with a field size of 72 players on the Island and Bluff nines. The World Junior Girls Golf Championship () is an annual world amateur team golf championship for women under 18 organized in Canada. History The inaugural event was held in 2014. The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. The Standard Portland Classic is a women's professional golf tournament in Oregon on the LPGA Tour. Founded in 1972, the annual event in the Portland area is the oldest continuous event on the LPGA Tour. NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship
The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship, played in the month of May, is the annual competition in women's collegiate golf for individuals and teams from universities in Division I. Golf was one of twelve women's sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981-82 school year. From its inception through 2014, it was a stroke play team competition with an additional individual award. Beginning in 2015, after 72 holes of stroke play, the top eight teams play in single-elimination match play to determine the team champion.
