Carmelo Pipitone (1978) is a songwriter and guitarist formerly known as guitarist-member of the Italian band Marta sui Tubi and the international supergroup O.R.k. Biography Carmelo Pipitone was born in Petrosino, at the time part of the municipality of Marsala, in 1978. In Sicily he participated in his first musical projects, the most important of which were RYM. Marta sui Tubi In Bologna, in 2002, he formed Marta sui Tubi with Giovanni Gulino. With the band he released 6 studio albums and participated at the 2013 Sanremo Festival. Noteworthy are the collaborations with Lucio Dalla, Franco Battiato, Antonella Ruggiero and Enrico Ruggeri. Marsala
Marsala (, local ; la, Lilybaeum) is an Italian town located in the Province of Trapani in the westernmost part of Sicily. Marsala is the most populated town in its province and the fifth in Sicily. The town is famous for the docking of Giuseppe Garibaldi on 11 May 1860 (the ''Expedition of the Thousand'') and for its Marsala wine. A feature of the area is the Stagnone Lagoon Natural Reserve – a marine area with salt ponds. Marlene Kuntz are an Italian rock band formed in Cuneo in 1990. Initially they were inspired by the noise rock of Sonic Youth. History Marlene Kuntz began forming in 1987 consisting of Luca Bergia on drums and Riccardo Tesio on guitar. Franco Ballatore joined the band on bass guitar the following year and that winter they found a rehearsal room in Confreria. In 1989, Cristiano Godano joined the band playing guitar and writing songs. Alex Astegiano also came in as the singer. In May they played their first concert in Cuneo playing "1° 2° 3°", "La verità" and "Emozioni Nascoste". Verdena are an Italian rock band originating in Albino, Bergamo. As of February 2015, they have released six full-length albums under Universal Music Group. History Origins The group formed in 1995 with the two brothers Alberto (guitarist) and Luca Ferrari (drummer). In 1996, after various bass players coming and going, met Roberta Sammarelli (bassist), who at the time was playing guitar for a female punk group in Bergamo, the Porno Nuns, with who Alberto knew for some time.
