Carlos Rodón
Carlos Antonio Rodón (born December 10, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played MLB for the Chicago White Sox and San Francisco Giants. Rodón is a two-time Major League Baseball All-Star Game, MLB All-Star. Rodón played college baseball at NC State Wolfpack baseball, North Carolina State, and was drafted by the White Sox in the first round, with the third overall pick, of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, 2014 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the White Sox in 2015. On April 14, 2021, Rodón pitched the List of Chicago White Sox no-hitters, 20th no-hitter in White Sox history, against the Cleveland Indians. He entered free agency after the 2021 season, and signed with the Giants. 2014 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2014 Major League Baseball draft was held from June 5 through June 7, 2014, to assign amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The first two rounds were conducted on June 5, followed by rounds three through ten on June 6, and the last 30 rounds on June 7. In baseball or softball, a strikeout (or strike-out) occurs when a batter accumulates three strikes during a time at bat. It means the batter is out, unless the third strike is not caught by the catcher and the batter reaches first base safely as a result. In baseball statistics, earned run average (ERA) is the average of earned runs allowed by a pitcher per nine innings pitched (i.e. the traditional length of a game).
