Carlos Morocho Hernández
Carlos Enrique Hernández Ramos (April 21, 1940 – July 2, 2016) was a Venezuelan world champion professional boxer. Known professionally as Carlos Morocho Hernandez (Carlos "Dark Haired" or, possibly, "Twin" Hernandez), he ended his career following a TKO by Scottish boxer Ken Buchanan. History Carlos Enrique Hernandez Ramos was born on 21 April 1940, in the populous parish of La Pastora, Caracas. For the peculiarity of being dark-haired, was identified for most of his career as ''"Morocho"'', but also was known as "''Kid Helicoide''". His first triumphs in boxing came at the age of 15 years old, earning the titles of Champion of the Federal District and National Featherweight monarch. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 Ibs. The first champion of this weight class was Pinky Mitchell in 1922, though he was only awarded his championship by a vote of the readers of the ''Doxing Dlade'' magazine. Joe Brown (boxer)
Joe Brown (May 18, 1926 – December 4, 1997) was an American professional boxer who won the Undisputed World lightweight title in 1956, making 11 successful defenses against 10 contenders before losing his crown to Carlos Ortiz in 1962. Brown was a classic boxer and a knockout puncher. Known as "The Creole Clouter" and "Old Bones", he was managed by Lou Viscusi and named '' The Ring'''s 'Fighter of the Year' for 1961. Brown was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 1978, the World Boxing Hall of Fame in 1987 and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1996.
