Carlos González (American Politician)
Carlos González is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He was sworn into office in January 2015. A resident of Springfield, Massachusetts, he was elected as a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat to represent the 10th Hampden district. González is president of the Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus, and a former aide to mayor Michael Albano. In early 2023, Gonzalez made the news for the introduction of a bill to allow Massachusetts prisoners to earn time off from their sentences by donating organs or bone marrow. Michael Albano
Michael Albano (born November 6, 1950) is an American politician, college professor, and government affairs consultant who resides in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He is the former mayor of Springfield, Massachusetts and the former Massachusetts Governor's Councilor representing western Massachusetts's 8th Council district. Albano began his public service career as a Probation Officer in the Westfield District Court in 1974. Subsequently, he was appointed to the Massachusetts State Parole Board in 1982 by Governor Edward J. King and reappointed by Governor Michael Dukakis in 1987.
