Carlos García Quesada (born April 18, 1978 in La Zubia) is a Spanish former professional road racing cyclist. He turned professional with Kelme in 2001, and stayed with them until the end of 2005. In 2006, he moved to Unibet.com. However, in 2006, his name was linked to the Operación Puerto doping case Operación Puerto (''Operation Mountain Pass'') is the code name of a still unfinished Spanish Police operation against the pro sports doping network of Doctor Eufemiano Fuentes. It started in May 2006, which resulted in a scandal that involve ... and was sidelined by his team. In early 2007, García Quesada came to a mutual agreement with Unibet.com to leave the team, following several months having not been paid. His brother Adolfo is also a former professional cyclist. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on paved roads. Kelme (cycling Team)
Kelme was a professional cycling team based in Spain. History In 1979, Kelme sponsored the mountains classification in the Vuelta a España. The owners of Kelme were not satisfied with the publicity that this produced, so they decided to sponsor a cycling team instead. The Kelme team was formed from another Spanish cycling team, Transmallorca, in 1980. From the 2004 cycling season, the Valencian government took the main sponsorship, Kelme becoming co-sponsor, finally dropping from the team at the end of the year. Despite this, the team kept on running, but its days were numbered when on 20 August 2006, because of doping allegations on Operación Puerto, the Valencian government dropped its sponsorship.
