Carlos Alocén
Carlos Alocén Arrondo (born 30 December 2000) is a Spanish professional basketball player who plays for CB Gran Canaria of the Spanish Liga ACB. He plays at the point guard position. Early life and career Alocén grew up playing basketball at the youth level for Basket Zaragoza, Zaragoza. He made his professional debut on 30 October 2016, playing for Zaragoza in a Liga ACB game against Real Madrid Baloncesto, Real Madrid. At age 15 years and 10 months, Alocén became the youngest ACB debutant in club history, breaking Sergi García (basketball), Sergi García's record. He also became the third-youngest player in Liga ACB history, behind Ángel Rebolo and Ricky Rubio. At the end of the 2018-19 ACB season, Alocén signed with Real Madrid, but remained on loan at Zaragoza for one season. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administered by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Primera FEB and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. 2016–17 ACB Season
The 2016–17 ACB season, also known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, was the 34th season of the Spanish basketball league. It started on 30 September 2016 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 16 June 2017 with the ACB Finals. The 2021–22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 22nd season of the modern era of the EuroLeague, and the 12th under the title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 65th season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. The Spanish Basketball Federation (; FEB) is the governing body of basketball in Spain. Based in Madrid, it was founded on 31 July 1923 in Barcelona, Spain. An anterior cruciate ligament injury occurs when the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is either stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. The most common injury is a complete tear.
