Jon Carin (born October 21, 1964) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and producer. He has collaborated with acts including Pink Floyd, the Who, Eddie Vedder, Neil Finn, Kate Bush and Richard Butler. Biography As a teenager, Jon Carin started his professional musical career with the band Industry as their lead singer, keyboardist and songwriter. During his time with the band, they had a hit single with " State of the Nation" in 1984, being followed by the album '' Stranger to Stranger''. In 1984, he was asked by Industry's producer, Rhett Davies, to work with Bryan Ferry for his '' Boys and Girls'' album. Carin Alice Cone (born April 18, 1940), also known by her married name Carin Cone Vanderbush after 1962, is an American former competition swimmer for the University of Houston's Shamrock Club, a 1956 Olympic silver medalist, and a former world record-holder in multiple events. Cone was born on April 18, 1940, to Luther Raymond and Ruth Cone, a school teacher, and attended Ridgewood High School, graduating in 1958. Having learned to swim at five, her mother enrolled her at New York's Women's Swimming Association at nine where she was coached by Marie Giardine. An outstanding program with a long history of national champions, and Olympic participants, Charlotte Epstein founded the WSA in the 1920's. Cone won her first Junior National title at the age of 13.
