Cardinalidae (sometimes referred to as "cardinal-grosbeaks" or simply "cardinals") is a family of New World-Endemism, endemic passerine birds that consists of Cardinalis, cardinals, grosbeaks, and Passerina, buntings. It also includes several other genera such as the tanager-like ''Piranga'' and the warbler-like ''Granatellus''. Membership of this family is not easily defined by a single or even a set of physical characteristics, but instead by molecular work. Among songbirds, they range from average-sized to relatively large, and have stout features. Some species have large, heavy bills. Cardinal Technologies, Inc., was an American computer company originally based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, that primarily manufactured modems for personal computers, among other peripherals. History Cardinal Technologies was founded in February 1987 by Harold Krall and seven other ex-employees of the RCA Corporation's New Products Division research and development office and factory in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. ''Cardinal'' is the second studio album by American rock band Pinegrove (band), Pinegrove, released February 12, 2016 on Run for Cover Records, Run for Cover. Pinegrove formed in Montclair, New Jersey in 2010, and spent their early years self-releasing their music and performing at DIY shows. Their first record, ''Meridian'', was released in 2012, and later compiled into the mixtape ''Everything So Far'' (2014). In the early 2010s, the members relocated from their hometown of Montclair to Brooklyn, New York City, New York. The band's frontman, singer-songwriter Evan Stephens Hall, however, decided to return home, where he and drummer Zack Levine produced ''Cardinal''. The Cardinals
The Cardinals were an American R&B group of the 1950s. Sharing a legacy with the Orioles, The Cardinals are remembered as one of the best R&B ballad acts to come out of Baltimore. Origins The Cardinals’ career began in 1946 (one year before The Orioles) when Leon Hardy and Meredith Brothers convinced Donald Johnson to join them in harmony on the corner of Gay Street and Forest. Johnson drafted his friend Ernie Warren to round out a quartet and the new group on the block became The Mellotones. They did the usual round of Baltimore bars and nightclubs for experience, singing the songs of black and white pop groups such as The Fortunes, The Ink Spots, and The Ames Brothers. They picked up a fifth member, Jack Aydelotte, when he and they were separately scheduled to perform on The Major Baumgartner Show, a local TV talent show. Cardinal is an American indie pop duo founded by musicians Richard Davies and Eric Matthews. The duo was formed in 1992 following Davies' relocation from Australia to the United States, where he met Matthews while both were living in Boston, Massachusetts. Davies serves as Cardinal's lead vocalist and lyricist, while Matthews handles musical arrangements. Cardinal's ornate musical sound, heavily inspired by 1960s baroque pop, has been credited as a major influence on subsequent indie chamber pop artists from the 1990s onward. Cardinal released their self-titled debut album in 1994 to critical acclaim, but disbanded the following year amid internal disagreements. ''The Cardinal'' is a 1963 American drama film produced independently, directed by Otto Preminger and distributed by Columbia Pictures. The screenplay was written by Robert Dozier, based on the novel by the same by Henry Morton Robinson. The music score was written by Jerome Moross. The film's cast features Tom Tryon, Romy Schneider and John Huston, and it was nominated for six Academy Awards.
