Cardinal (grape)
Cardinal is a table grape variety first produced in California in 1939. The grape is a cross of the Königin der Weingärten and Alphonse-lavallée table grapes, according to latest research. In the United States, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Croatia, France, Italy, Romania, Spain, and Portugal the grape is used as a typical table grape for eating and making raisins. In Thailand and Vietnam it is used widely in wine production.J. Grape Cluster
In viticulture, the grape cluster (also bunch of grapes) is a fertilized inflorescence of the grapevine, the primary part of this plant used for food (grape leaves are also used in some culinary traditions). The size of the grape bunch greatly varies, from few grams to kilograms, depending on the grape variety and conditions during the fruit set. Architecture The placement of a cluster on the vine is similar to that of a tendril, as both develop from the same uncommitted primordia, the ''anlagen''. The grape bunch position on the side of the stem opposing a leaf is unusual for inflorescence of the plants. The typical shape of a cluster depends on the grape variety. The bunch of grapes, like a tendril, has two ''arms''. Blanc Du Bois
Blanc du Bois (French, ''white [grape] of the woods [forest]'') is an American hybrid grape that was created in 1968 by John A. Mortensen at the University of Florida’s Central Florida Research and Education Center in Leesburg, Florida. Mortensen created this variety by crossing various Vitis vinifera grape varieties such as Golden Muscat with native Florida varieties. When released in 1987, Blanc du Bois became another grape variety in the small but growing number of vine types that can both produce marketable wine on their own yet can withstand Pierce's Disease, a bacterial infection that destroys nearly all vinifera vinestocks imported into the southern United States. Despite the name, the grape variety has nothing to do with woods or forests; rather it was named in honor of Emile DuBois, an influential grapegrower and winemaker in the Tallahassee, Fla., area.
