Andrew Hill Card Jr. (born May 10, 1947) is an American politician and Academic administration, academic administrator who was White House Chief of Staff under President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2006, as well as head of Bush's White House Iraq Group. Card served as United States Secretary of Transportation under President George H. W. Bush from 1992 to 1993. Card announced his resignation as Chief of Staff on March 28, 2006, effective April 14, 2006. David Edward Card (born 1956) is a Canadian-American labour economist and the Class of 1950 Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has been since 1997. Hudson Card (born July 29, 2001) is an American football quarterback. He played college football for the Texas Longhorns and the Purdue Boilermakers. He was a highly touted four-star prospect from Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. He played in the 2020 Under Armour All-America Game. Card saw limited action at Texas as a true freshman. During the lead-up to the 2021 season, he was named the starting quarterback, but lost the role to Casey Thompson after just two games. James Card (October 25, 1915 – January 16, 2000) was an American film preservationist who established the motion picture collection at George Eastman House, one of the major moving image archives in the United States. In November 1948, Card joined the staff of the newly created George Eastman House with the initial title of "assistant to the curator", who was Beaumont Newhall. In 1955, Card discovered Louise Brooks living as a recluse in New York City and persuaded her to move to Rochester, New York, to be near the George Eastman House. 2023 Lewiston Shootings
On October 25, 2023, 40-year-old Robert Card carried out a spree shooting in Lewiston, Maine, United States, killing 18 people and wounding 13 others. The initial attack occurred at the Just-In-Time Recreation bowling alley during a youth league event, followed shortly by a second shooting at the Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant. Following these events, Card escaped, prompting the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office to initiate an extensive manhunt and release his photograph identifying him as the suspect. Forty-nine hours later, on October 27, authorities discovered Card dead in a tractor-trailer due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound near a recycling center in Lisbon, Maine, where he had been recently employed.
