CarbonCure Technologies is a manufacturer of carbon removal and utilization technologies that inject captured carbon dioxide into concrete. It was founded in 2012 by Rob Niven, and the company headquarters are in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Technology CarbonCure holds more than 120 patents related to carbon dioxide sequestration in concrete articles. Projects that have been made with concrete from CarbonCure's process include 725 Ponce in Atlanta. Carbon dioxide ( chemical formula ) is a chemical compound made up of molecules that each have one carbon atom covalently double bonded to two oxygen atoms. Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC; french: Technologies du développement durable Canada) is an arm's-length foundation created by the Government of Canada to fund new clean technologies. Carbon sequestration is the process of storing carbon in a carbon pool. Carbon dioxide () is naturally captured from the atmosphere through biological, chemical, and physical processes.
