"Cantaré, cantarás" ''(I Will Sing, You Will Sing)'' is a single by various Latin American icons called circumstantially "Hermanos", and it was released in 1985. The B-side is conformed by Herb Alpert's "African Flame". The song was considered as an LP and peaked number 12 in ''Billboard'''s Latin Pop Albums in September 1985. Background "Cantaré, Cantarás" was recorded with the purpose of raising funds to boost the campaigns of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Latin America. Producers Albert Hammond, José Quintana, Manuel Montoya, Peter Lopez, Luis Medina, and Jose Behar, Co-Founders of non-profit organization HERMANOS, producers of "Cantare, Cantaras" were in charge of the project, bringing together more than 50 Spanish-speaking music artists. Herb Alpert
Herb Alpert (born March 31, 1935) is an American trumpeter who led the band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass in the 1960s. During the same decade, he co-founded A&M Records with Jerry Moss. Alpert has recorded 28 albums that have landed on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, five of which became No. 1 albums; he has had 14 platinum albums and 15 gold albums. Alpert is the only musician to hit No. 1 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 as both a vocalist (" This Guy's in Love with You", 1968) and an instrumentalist (" Rise", 1979). Antonio José Cortés Pantoja, better known by his artistic name Chiquetete (26 July 1948 – 16 December 2018), was a Spanish flamenco singer, cousin of the tonadillera Isabel Pantoja. Born in Algeciras, in Andalusia, in a Romani family, although they soon moved their residence to Seville when he was 8 years old. Vikki Carr Florencia Vicenta de Casillas-Martínez Cardona (born July 19, 1940), known by her stage name Vikki Carr, is an American vocalist. She has a singing career that spans more than four decades. Born in El Paso, Texas, to Mexican parents, she has performed in a variety of musical genres, including pop, jazz and country, while her greatest success has come from singing in Spanish. She established the Vikki Carr Scholarship Foundation in 1971.
