Cannons Wood F.C.
Cannons Wood Football Club is a non-league football club based in Harlow, England. They are currently members of the and play at Parkside Stadium, Aveley. History Formed as DTFC in 2019 by AFTV contributor, Liam Goodenough, the club initially entered the Essex Alliance League. In January 2022, the club announced they had applied to the Football Association to rebrand the club after gaining promotion into Step 6 of the non-league pyramid. Later that year, the club was admitted into the Eastern Counties League Division One South under the new name of Cannons Wood. The name originates from the nearby Canons Brook estate in Harlow. Ground In 2020, the club entered a groundsharing agreement with Harlow Town to play at the Harlow Arena. Harlow is a large town and local government district located in the west of Essex, England. Founded as a new town, it is situated on the border with Hertfordshire and London, Harlow occupies a large area of land on the south bank of the upper Stort Valley, which has been made navigable through other towns and features a canal section near its watermill. AFTV (formerly known as ArsenalFanTV) is a football fan YouTube channel and website directed at supporters of Arsenal F.C. Based in London, England, the channel was created in 2012 and includes fan interviews, previews and reviews of players. They have interviewed players such as Olivier Giroud, Ian Wright and Thierry Henry. The Essex Alliance Football League is an English football league for clubs based in Essex and north-eastern Greater London. The league has six divisions (Senior, Premier, Divisions One, Two, Three and Four), of which the Senior Division sits at 11th level in the English football league system, formerly Step 7 in the National League System, following the Football Association's approval to become a Regional NLS Feeder League (Step 7) from season 2021–22 onwards. Cheshunt
Cheshunt ( ) is a town in Hertfordshire, England, north of London on the River Lea and Lee Navigation. It contains a section of the Lee Valley Park, including much of the River Lee Country Park. To the north lies Broxbourne and Wormley, Waltham Abbey to the east, Waltham Cross and Enfield to the south, and Cuffley to the west. Aveley is a town and former civil parish in the unitary authority of Thurrock in Essex, England, and forms one of the traditional Church of England parishes. Aveley is 16 miles (26.2 km) east of Charing Cross. In the 2021 United Kingdom census it had a population of 9,801. In 1931 the parish had a population of 2,003. The 2023–24 Eastern Counties Football League is the 81st season in the history of the Eastern Counties Football League, a football competition in England. Teams are divided into three divisions, the Premier Division at Step 5, and the geographically separated Division One North and Division One South (Eastern Senior League), both at Step 6 of the English football league system. The constitution was announced on 15 May 2023. Starting this season, the two step 5 divisions in the league will each promote two clubs; one as champions and one via a four-team play-off.
