Candeias is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in Brazil, in the state of Bahia. It is located to the north of Salvador, Bahia, Salvador, the capital of Bahia. The town is near the BR-324 motorway. The town has a current population of 87,458 (2020 estimate). With the 6th-highest GDP in Bahia, its major economics activities are the port of Aratu which is one of the most important of the country. The town is based next to the second-biggest oil refinery of the country, Landulfo Alves refinery. Daniel João Santos Candeias (born 25 February 1988) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a winger for Turkish TFF First League club Adanaspor. He was on the books of both Porto and Benfica, where he was mostly loaned out, and amassed most of his 134 Primeira Liga appearances and 15 goals while at Nacional. He also played over 100 games in the Turkish Süper Lig with Alanyaspor and Gençlerbirliği, and had spells in Spain, Germany, France and Scotland. Grupo Candeias de Capoeira is an international Capoeira group, has its headquarters located in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil and is presided over by the Mestre Suíno. {{TOClimit, limit=2 History Grupo Candeias was founded at the SESC Club in the university sector in 1977 in Goiânia, Goias, Brazil. In that time the group was called Grupo de Capoeira Anglo Regional and the first groups teacher was Carlos Antonio (Carlinhos Chuchu). In the year 1978 Mestre Passarinho took on the group changing the name to Grupo de Capoeira São Bento Pequeno. Two years later, he decided to leave the SESC in Goiânia bringing Grupo São Bento Pequeno and part of the student body with him, in the same year Mestre Suíno took on the group that was left, using the name Grupo de Capoeira Anglo Regional temporarily until he could create a new name for the group. Candeias River
The Candeias River is a river of Rondônia state in western Brazil. The river flows into the Rio Jamari just downstream of the Samuel dam and reservoir, shortly after passing through the village of Candeis do Jamari. The region is known for its sport fishing. The river is also a tributary of the Rio Madeira. The Caritiana, a small tribe, lived and traded along the river during at least the 1950s and 1960s.
