Camel Meriem (born 18 October 1979) is a French former professional Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Sochaux, FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Bordeaux, Olympique de Marseille, Marseille, AS Monaco FC, AS Monaco, Aris F.C. (Thessaloniki), Aris, AC Arles-Avignon, Arles-Avignon, OGC Nice, and Apollon Limassol. He has represented France national football team, France at international level. Club career Born in Audincourt, Doubs, to Algerian parents, Meriem began his career with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Sochaux, where he played 82 games and scored eight goals in five years. In January 2002 he signed for FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Bordeaux and later that season he played and scored as his new side won the 2002 Coupe de la Ligue Final. Apollon Limassol FC (, ''Apollon Lemesou'') is a Cypriot sports club, based in Limassol. It has football, basketball and volleyball teams. Founded in 1954, Apollon FC currently plays in the Cypriot First Division and has won the championship title four times, the cup nine times and the Super Cup four times. History At the end of 1953, a team of young men placed as a dream and objective, the foundation of an association with national and athletic aims based on promoting the education and social skills of its young members. On 14 April 1954, the general assembly of these members with leader Mr Christakis Pavlides proposes the foundation of an athletic association called "APOLLON LIMASSOL".
