Cal Poly Mustangs Baseball
The Cal Poly Mustangs baseball team represents California Polytechnic State University, which is located in San Luis Obispo, California. The Mustangs are an NCAA Division I college baseball program, and along with the other Cal Poly athletic teams with the exception of swimming, wrestling, indoor track and football, the baseball team competes in the Big West Conference. The Cal Poly Mustangs play all home games on campus at Robin Baggett Stadium. Under the direction of Head Coach Larry Lee, the Mustangs have played in three NCAA tournaments—2009, 2013, and 2014—including hosting their first regional in 2014. The Mustangs also won their first Big West Conference title in 2014. Prior to Lee's arrival and Cal Poly's move to Division I in all sports, the Mustangs played in multiple Division II regionals. Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's NCAA Division I, Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (nine in Southern California alone), and one is located in Hawaii (though the Hawaii member is leaving for the Mountain West Conference, effective July 1, 2026). Western Athletic Conference
The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) is an NCAA Division I conference. The WAC covers a broad expanse of the Western United States with member institutions located in Arizona, California, Texas, Utah and Washington (state), Washington. Due to most of the conference's College football, football-playing members leaving the WAC for other affiliations, the conference discontinued football as a sponsored sport after the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season, 2012–13 season, left the NCAA's NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly known as Division I-A) and became one of the NCAA's eleven Division I non-football conferences. 2025 Arizona Wildcats Baseball Team
The 2025 Arizona Wildcats baseball team represents the University of Arizona during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Wildcats play their home games for the 14th season at Hi Corbett Field. The team is coached by Chip Hale in his 4th season at Arizona. This season is Arizona's 1st season participating as members of the Big 12 Conference, having departed the Pac-12 Conference after 45 seasons. The Wildcats won their first Big 12 Conference tournament championship, defeating 2025 TCU Horned Frogs baseball team, TCU 2–1 in extra innings. The Pepperdine Waves baseball team represents Pepperdine University in the sport of baseball. The Pepperdine Waves compete in Division I (NCAA), Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and in the West Coast Conference. The 2013 UCLA Bruins baseball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bruins competed in the Pac-12 Conference, and played their home games in Jackie Robinson Stadium. John Savage served as head coach for his 9th season. The Bruins swept through the NCAA tournament's Los Angeles Regional, Fullerton Super Regional, and College World Series bracket to reach the final against Mississippi State, their second appearance in four years. The Kent State Golden Flashes baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The team competes at the NCAA Division I, Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a member of the Mid-American Conference. The head coach is retired Major League Baseball player Jeff Duncan (baseball), Jeff Duncan, who was hired in June 2013. NCAA Division I Baseball Championship
The NCAA Division I Baseball Championship is held each year from May through June and features 64 college baseball teams in the United States, culminating in the eight-team College World Series, Men's College World Series (MCWS) at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament is unique in that it features four tiers of competition, alternating between double-elimination brackets and best-of-three series. In fact, throughout the entire 64-team tournament, a team can lose a total of four games and still be crowned champions. The 2025 NCAA Division I baseball tournament is the 78th edition of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The 64-team tournament began on Friday, May 30, as part of the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season and will end with the 2025 Men's College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which began on June 13 and will end on June 22 or June 23. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected from an eligible 300 teams. Teams were divided into 16 regionals of four teams, each of which was conducted via a double-elimination bracket. 1998 Big West Conference Baseball Tournament
The 1998 Big West Conference baseball tournament determined the conference champion for the Big West Conference at the end of the 1998 season. The six teams met at Cal State Fullerton's on campus venue, Titan Field from May 14 through 17. This would be the last Big West Conference postseason championship event, as the tournament was discontinued after the 1998 season. It will return in 2025 after a 27-year hiatus. Ritch Price
Ritch Price is an American baseball coach and former player. He played college baseball at Linn–Benton Community College (1975–1976) and Willamette (1977–1978). He then served as the head baseball coach of the Menlo Oaks (1983–1986), the De Anza Dons (1987–1994), the Cal Poly Mustangs (1995–2002) and the Kansas Jayhawks (2003–2022). Coaching career Price took over as head coach at Cal Poly for the 1995 season, which was to be the Mustangs first at the Division I level. In his second season, he led the team to a winning record. He accepted the head coaching position at Kansas on July 2, 2002, and has led the Jayhawks to two NCAA tournament berths and their first Big 12 Conference baseball tournament title in 2006. Cal State Fullerton Titans Baseball
The Cal State Fullerton Titans baseball team represents California State University, Fullerton in NCAA Division I college baseball. Along with the other CSUF athletic teams, the baseball team participates in the Big West Conference. Since its early days, Titan Baseball has been considered an elite program in college baseball, making 18 College World Series appearances and winning four national championships (1979, 1984, 1995, and 2004).
