Cainguás Department
Cainguás is one of the 17 departments into which the province of Misiones, Argentina, is divided. It is located in the center of the province. Its head is the locality of Campo Grande. Geography The department has an area of 1,549 km², equivalent to 5.24% of the total province. Campo Grande, Misiones
Campo Grande (Misiones) is an Argentine locality in the province of Misiones, the head of the Cainguás department. It borders the municipality of Aristóbulo del Valle, of the same department, and the municipalities of Ruiz de Montoya in the Libertador General San Martín department, Jardín América in the San Ignacio department, Campo Viera and Campo Ramón in the Oberá department, and those of 25 de Mayo and Alba Posse in the 25 de Mayo department. Misiones Province
Misiones (, ''Missions'') is one of the Provinces of Argentina, 23 provinces of Argentina, located in the northeastern corner of the country in the Mesopotamia, Argentina, Mesopotamia region. Oberá Department
Oberá is one of the 17 departments in the province of Misiones, Argentina. Located in the southeast, it borders the San Ignacio department, the Cainguás department, the Veinticinco de Mayo department, the San Javier department, the Leandro N. Alem department, the Candelaria department, and the Federative Republic of Brazil, separated by the Uruguay River. The department covers 1,564 km², which is 5.2% of the total province area. Name origin Yerbal Viejo, the first settlement, changed its name in memory of the famous Guarani chief "Oberá" (the one who shines). According to tradition, he was known for his indomitable courage.
