Canadian Western Bank (CWB; ), also operating as CWB Financial Group, was a Canadian bank based in Edmonton, Alberta. The bank serves clients both in Western Canada and in other provinces. It was announced on June 11, 2024 that it would be acquired by National Bank of Canada in 2025. The Canadian Wheat Board () was a marketing board for wheat and barley in Western Canada. Established by the Parliament of Canada on 5 July 1935, its operation was governed by the Canadian Wheat Board Act as a mandatory producer marketing system for wheat and barley in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and a small part of British Columbia. This system was historically referred to as "Single Desk" marketing as it was the only channel by which farmers could legally sell their wheat and barley in the CWB jurisdiction. Amid criticism around this restriction, the Canadian Wheat Board's Single Desk marketing power officially ended on 1 August 2012 as a result of Bill C-18, also known as the Marketing Freedom for Grain Farmers Act. Center For Wooden Boats
The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) is a museum dedicated to preserving and documenting the maritime history of the Pacific Northwest area of the United States. CWB was founded by Dick Wagner in Seattle in the 1970s and has grown to include three sites; the South Lake Union campus in Lake Union Park, the Northlake Workshop & Warehouse at the north end of Lake Union, and The Center for Wooden Boats at Cama Beach State Park on Camano Island. Chocolate Watchband
The Chocolate Watchband is an American garage rock band that formed in 1965 in Los Altos, California. The band went through several lineup changes during its existence. Combining psychedelic and garage rock components, their sound was marked by David Aguilar's lead vocals, songwriting, as well as proto-punk musical arrangements. The band's rebellious musical posture made them one of the harder-edged groups of the period with one critic labeling them as America's answer to the Rolling Stones. The Chocolate Watchband was signed to Tower Records (record label), Tower Records in 1966 and released their first single (music), single, "Sweet Young Thing", in 1967. Clear Water Bay () is a bay on the eastern shore of Clear Water Bay Peninsula of Hong Kong, located within Clear Water Bay Country Park. There are two beaches at Clear Water Bay: "Clear Water Bay First Beach" and "Clear Water Bay Second Beach". The name is also used to describe the area around the bay on the peninsula. Beaches During the summer, both beaches have life guards on duty. Changing rooms, lockers, shower facilities, toilets and rafts are available at both beaches. A BBQ area can only be found on the first beach, but there is a kiosk selling refreshment on the second beach. There is an unavoidable flight of stairs of about 100 steps for both beaches, so strollers and wheelchairs cannot be used to access the beaches. Colwyn Bay railway station () is on the Crewe to Holyhead North Wales Coast Line serving the seaside town of Colwyn Bay in the Conwy County Borough of North Wales. History Colwyn Bay station was opened by the Chester and Holyhead Railway in October 1849; originally named ''Colwyn'', it was renamed ''Colwyn Bay'' in 1876. The station is in an unusual location straddling a curved section of track. As a result, the track bed is cambered so that trains come to rest at the station platform at a significant tilt. The current station consists of the platform faces that served the former fast lines (the section from here to Llandudno Junction was quadruple track until the 1960s).
