Clubul Sportiv Progresul Șomcuta Mare, commonly known as Progresul Șomcuta Mare, is a Romanian football team based in Șomcuta Mare, Maramureș County, which currently competes in the Liga IV – Maramureș County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football, following the relegation at end of the 2021–22 season. History First years and ascencion (1970–1999) After four seasons of territorial championships ( fifth tier), fifteen seasons of County Championship and two lost promotion matches, in the 1996–97 season (0–4 with Victoria Carei) and 1997–98 season (2–4 with Electromureș Târgu Mureș), Progresul managed to promoted to 3rd division, without promotion play-off match, at end of the 1998–99 season. 1999–2000 Cupa României
The 1999–2000 Cupa României was the 62nd edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against FC U Craiova. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes into extra time. If the match is still tied, the result is decided by penalty kicks. In the semi-finals, each tie is played as a two legs. Simion Mironaș
Simion Mironaș (19 November 1965 – 7 May 2022) was a Romanian professional footballer who played as a defender. Career In the 8th round of the 1994–95 Divizia A season Simion played on 13 October 1994 for Gloria Bistrița against Rapid București and on 15 October for Dinamo București against Universitatea Cluj, thus becoming the only Romanian that played for two teams in the same round. Conviction On 28 February 1998, Mironaș was involved in a road accident while driving his car in Susenii Bârgăului, Bistrița-Năsăud County and hit two teenagers, one of them who was 15 years old died. He was driving without a license after a few days earlier he hit a pregnant woman on the crosswalk. Mironaș received a one-year suspended sentence. CSM Satu Mare (football)
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Olimpia Satu Mare, commonly known as CSM Olimpia Satu Mare, or simply as Satu Mare, is a Romanian football club based in Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, currently playing in the Liga II. This team represents the football section of the multi-sport club CSM Satu Mare, which also include basketball, volleyball and handball sections. CSM Satu Mare was established on 18 July 2007 and is fully supported by the Municipality of Satu Mare. The football section of CSM was established only in 2018, after the second dissolution of Olimpia Satu Mare and was enrolled in the Liga IV Satu Mare. Despite the promotion obtained in 2019, CSM was not accepted in the Liga III by the Romanian Football Federation, after a late payment of the financial guarantee for participation in the 2019–20 Liga III season. Goal Difference
Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball). The 2020–21 Liga III was the 65th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began in September 2020 and ended in May 2021. Liga IV Sălaj is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Sălaj County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 11 teams, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. Also, the number of relegated team from the Liga IV – Sălaj is variable and depends on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III.
