CS Ocna Mureș
Clubul Sportiv Ocna Mureș commonly known as CS Ocna Mureș or simply Ocna Mureș, is a Romanian football club based in Ocna Mureș, Alba County, which currently competes in the Liga IV – Alba County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football. The club was known in the interwar period as Solvay Uioara and as Soda Ocna Mureș between 1945 and 2007. History The club was founded in 1933 as Solvay Uioara, from the passion of the Belgian baron Solvay – the owner then of the soda factory – to continue the tradition of football in Ocna Mureș, began by FC Ocna Mureș still before the First World War, when the precursor of the team from the town on the Mureș River has represented the city in the Hungarian Second Division in the 1913–14 season. Stadionul Soda
Stadionul Soda, nicknamed ''Stadionul Dragostei (Love Stadium)'', is a Romanian multi-purpose stadium in Ocna Mureș, Alba County, mostly used for football matches, being the home ground of CS Ocna Mureș. The stadium holds 2,000 seats where 500 of them are covered. The stadium was opened on 30 August 1936 with the occasion of the match between Solvay Uioara and IAR Brașov (2–4), and was the host of first football match on floodlight in Romania. Gheorghe Cornel Cacoveanu (16 September 1935 – 23 November 2001) was a Romanian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder, most notably for Steaua București. Career His debut for Metalul Câmpia Turzii came in 1951. He promoted in the Romanian first division with his team and played well in Divizia A. He moved to Bucharest in 1955 playing only a season for Progresul București before moving to Steaua București. He played nine years for this team, being a part of Steaua's Gold Team. Bazil Marian (7 November 1922 – 19 January 2008) was a Romanian professional footballer and coach. Club career Bazil Marian nicknamed "Bombardierul" (The Bomber) because of his powerful shots was born on 7 November 1922 in Uioara de Sus, Romania and started playing junior level football at age 11 at local club Solvay. He made his Divizia A debut playing for Victoria Cluj on 24 September 1947 in a 2–1 home victory against Venus București. Victoria relegated by the end of the season, but he stayed in Divizia A, playing one season for Mica Brad before moving at Carmen București. The 2019–20 Liga IV was the 78th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a playoff to gain promotion. This had to be the third season when the counties were divided into 7 regions, each consisting of 6 counties and the draw was made on 15 February 2019, with 4 months before the first matches. In the spring of 2020, most of the county leagues were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the promotion format will be changed, especially due to the fact that no team (apart from the teams that were already excluded or dissolved) relegated from Liga III.
