CS Dinamo București (football)
Clubul Sportiv Dinamo București, commonly known as CS Dinamo București, or simply as Dinamo, is a Romanian football team based in Bucharest. The team represents the football section of the namesake multi-sport club and competes in Liga II. History On 14 May 1948, " Unirea Tricolor MAI" — newly entered, in January 1948, under the umbrella of the Communist regime's Internal Affairs Ministry — merged with " Ciocanul București" and formed "Dinamo București", the sporting club representing the above-mentioned institution. The people who contributed at the foundation of the club were the Minister of Internal Affairs, Teohari Georgescu and the Jewish brothers Alexandru and Turi Vogl. Until the end of the championship, Dinamo was going to be represented by two teams: "Ciocanul" ("Hammer"), named "Dinamo A" and "Unirea Tricolor MAI", known as "Dinamo B" (this last one relegating, at the end of the football season, into the Divizia B). Liga III
The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. It was founded in 1936 and was called Divizia C until 2006. An exception was the seasons 1992–93 to 1996–97, in which the league was called Divizia B. Nicolae Dumitru (footballer)
Nicolae "Nicușor" Dumitru (12 December 1928 – 8 August 2005) was a Romanian striker and manager. He is the most successful Manager in Romania, winning the Romanian first league on seven occasions, all with Dinamo București. Nicolae Dumitru also won two Romanian Cups, and went on to guide Dinamo to the European Cup semi-finals in the 1983–84 season. He has a total of 558 matches as manager in Divizia A. Coloman Braun-Bogdan
Coloman Braun-Bogdan (13 October 1905 – 15 March 1983) was a Romanian football midfielder and football manager. Playing career Coloman Braun-Bogdan was born on 13 October 1905 in Arad, Arad County, which was at the time part of Austria-Hungary, he started to play football in 1920 when he was 14 years old at local club, AMEF, making a name for himself as one of the best Romanian midfielders of the interwar period. In 1932 he went to play two seasons in France at Racing Club Calais, afterwards going at Juventus București where he played with a interruption in the 1935–36 season until he ended his career, his final appearance as a footballer taking place on 15 May 1938 in a 4–1 league victory against Universitatea Cluj. Iuliu Farkaș
Iuliu Farkaș (also known as Gyula Farkas; 8 September 1923 – 9 May 1984) was a Romanian footballer who played as a forward. Club career Iuliu Farkaș was born on 8 September 1923 in Petroșani, Romania, starting to play junior level football in 1930 at local club, Jiul. He started his senior career during the 1940–41 Divizia B season, helping Jiul promote to Divizia A, contributing with six goals scored. In 1941 he went to play for Hungarian side, Ferencvárosi where he made his Nemzeti Bajnokság I debut on 6 September 1942 when coach Lajos Dimény used him all the minutes in a 3–3 with Salgótarjáni BTC. Gheorghe Lăzăreanu
Gheorghe Lăzăreanu (born 6 May 1924, date of death unknown) was a Romanian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Gheorghe Lăzăreanu played for Ripensia Timișoara, Carmen București, Ciocanul București, ASA București, Dinamo București and Flacăra București, ending his career at 26 years old, choosing to work in constructions. Titus Ozon
Titus Ozon (13 May 1927 – 24 November 1996) was a Romanian international football striker and manager. He was considered one of the greatest talents in postwar Romanian football, famous for his extraordinary ability to dribble. Career Ozon was born in Bucharest, in the Obor neighborhood. He started football at Unirea Tricolor București at the age of 10, under the guidance of coach Ștefan Cârjan. In 1948 he came to Dinamo, from which he was loaned disciplinary to Dinamo Braşov in 1951. After returning he was the top goalscorer in Divizia A for two consecutive seasons (1952 with 17 goals and in 1953 with 12 goals). Carol Bartha
Carol Bartha (; 19 September 1923 – 7 December 1976) was a Romanian footballer who played as a forward. Club career Bartha was born on 19 September 1923 in Oradea, Kingdom of Romania. He started playing football at Ciocanul București, making his Divizia A debut on 8 September 1946 in a 2–0 home win over CFR București. In 1948, Bartha went to play at newly founded club Dinamo București where on 21 November 1948, coach Coloman Braun-Bogdan played him for the entire duration of the first ever CSCA – Dinamo derby that ended with a 1–0 victory. Angelo Niculescu
Angelo Niculescu (1 October 1921 – 20 June 2015) was a Romanian football player and manager. He is best remembered in Romania for being the national team's coach at the 1970 World Cup and for inventing the "temporizare" ("delaying") tactics in which the team keeps the possession of the ball inside its own half and the players are using many short passes from one side to another of the field in order to disrupt the opponents patience when they go out of their field to make pressing, this is also considered an early form of tiki-taka, with such tactics he managed to qualify Romania to a World Cup after more than 30 years and register a win against Czechoslovakia.
