CJMR
CJMR is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts multicultural programming at AM 1320. Although officially licensed to Mississauga, Ontario, it currently broadcasts from studios in Oakville. CJMR's studios are located on Church Street in downtown Oakville, while its transmitters are located along Dundas Street West near Third Line Road on the northwest side of Oakville. Originally a daytimer on AM 1190, CJMR was launched in 1974, by CHWO Radio Limited (now Whiteoaks Communications Group), the owners of CHWO. On January 18, 1990, at 5p.m. the station moved to its current frequency (vacated by CFGM) and began a 24-hour broadcast schedule. Formerly a mixture of multilingual and Christian programming, CJMR moved to exclusively multilingual programming in 2001, when the religious programming moved to the new CJYE. CJYE
CJYE is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 1250 AM in Oakville, Ontario. The station airs a Christian music and talk format branded as ''Joy Radio''. CJYE's studios are located on Church Street in downtown Oakville, while its transmitters are located along Dundas Street West near Third Line Road on the northwest side of Oakville. CJYE launched on February 5, 2001, adopting the frequency formerly held by its sister station CHWO. Whiteoaks Communications Group is a media company based in Oakville, Ontario that owns several radio stations in Ontario as well as Christian podcasting platform, Faith Strong Today Media. The company was founded in 1956 as CHWO Radio Limited by Howard and Jean Caine with the launch of CHWO radio in Oakville. After Howard Caine died in 1967, the company was run by his widow, Jean. Their son, Michael Caine (1949–2024) subsequently became company president. The current president is Michael Caine's son, Matthew Caine. Whiteoaks is owned by the Caine family through their holding company, Caineco. CFZM (740 kHz) is an commercial Canadian AM radio station in Toronto, Ontario. It is owned by ZoomerMedia, headed by Canadian broadcaster Moses Znaimer. It airs an adult standards and oldies format, branded as ''Zoomer Radio'', with the slogan "The Original Greatest Hits". The studios and offices are on Jefferson Avenue in the Liberty Village neighbourhood. CFZM is a Class A, clear channel station. It transmits with a power of 50,000 watts, the maximum for Canadian AM stations. It uses a non-directional antenna, with its transmitter on Auburn Road in Milton, near the 401 Freeway. CHMB is a Canadian AM radio station, broadcasting from Vancouver, British Columbia on 1320 kHz. The station broadcasts a Multilingual language programming. CHMB's studios and transmitter towers are located in Richmond. CHMB and CJMR (no relationship) are the only stations in Canada which broadcast on 1320 kHz.
