CIL Sighetu Marmației
Combinatul de Industrializare a Lemnului Sighetu Marmației, commonly known as CIL Sighetu Marmației, was a Romanian football club based in Sighetu Marmației, being one of the top teams of the Maramureș County during the Communist regime, alongside FC Baia Mare and Minerul Cavnic. History Early days In 1936, along with the foundation of Liga III, it was created the first football club from Sighetu Marmației, named ''Maramureșul''. After the dissolution of the third tier of Romanian football, Maramureșul continued to play in regional football leagues. When the Second World War ended, the team was renamed ''Tisa Sighet'', after the river Tisa, which separates Sighet from Solotvyno village found in Ukraine. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system and is run in all 41 counties and in the Municipality of Bucharest. It was known as the Regional Championship, County Championship, Divizia C – County Phase and Divizia D. Its name was changed into Liga IV before the start of the 2006–07 season. History Football in Romania has its origins in 1909, when the country's first football competition was founded. In the beginning, matches were played in a cup-style system, with participating teams primarily coming from the Muntenia region, especially from Bucharest and Ploiești. In the 1920–21 season, in addition to the Harwester Cup, the Jean Luca P. Niculescu Cup, and the Maior Zorileanu Cup in Bucharest, district championships were also held in Timișoara/Arad, Cluj, Oradea, Târgu Mureș, and Cernăuți. Emeric Dembroschi (born 6 October 1945) is a retired Romanian football striker. Club career Emerich Dembrovschi was born on 6 October 1945 in Câmpulung la Tisa, Romania and started to play football in the Romanian lower leagues at Foresta Sighet and Victoria Roman. In 1967 he was transferred at SC Bacău where he was wanted by coach Constantin Teașcă, helping the team promote in Divizia A, a competition in which he made his debut on 20 August 1967 under coach Nicolae Dumitru, representing SC Bacău in a 2–1 victory against Steaua București in which he scored a goal. During his period spent at SC Bacău, Dembrovschi made his debut in European competitions, playing seven games in which he scored a hat-trick against Floriana and a brace with Skeid in the 1969–70 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, helping the club reach the quarter-finals where they were eliminated by Arsenal who would eventually win the competition. Vasile Caciureac
Vasile Caciureac (born 19 October 1962 in Sighetu Marmației, Romania) is a Romanian former football striker. He played for several Divizia A teams, including Rapid București, FCM Braşov, Petrolul Ploieşti, FC Baia Mare and the defunct Victoria București. Career Born in Sighetu Marmației, he was raised in Crăciuneşti village, Maramureș County. When he was 18, he made his league debut, playing for Second Division team CIL Sighetu Marmației. In 1981, he returned to Baia Mare, where he played football at a youth level for Club Sportiv Şcolar, signing with FC Baia Mare. After playing the Romanian Cup final in FC Baia Mare's shirt, lost against Dinamo București, he returned to Sighet. After one season, he moved to Steaua CFR Cluj, but his team relegated in the Third League. His third spell at CIL Sighetu Marmației was a good one, and his team won the promotion back to Divizia B. Grigore Arezanov
Grigore "Gogu" Arezanov (born 28 February 1958, in Jegălia/Călărași, Romania) is a Romanian retired football player, who played as a defender. He was involved in an incident in 1984, in which Universitatea Craiova and Romania national football team player Ilie Balaci suffered a severe cruciate ligament injury. He was often called in the 80's Vasile Arezanov, but his personal name is Grigore. Career Arezanov played, during his professional career, only for teams from Maramureș County. He made his senior debut in 1975, and played eight Divizia B seasons for CIL Sighetu Marmației until he signed with FC Baia Mare, a top-tier team. He made his Divizia A debut on 10 September 1983, in a match against FC Olt Scorniceşti, ended 0–0.
