CHEX-DT-2 (channel 22) is a television station licensed to Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, serving the Regional Municipality of Durham as part of the Global Television Network. It is owned and operated by network parent Corus Entertainment, and maintains studios on Simcoe Street (just north of King Street) in Downtown Oshawa and a transmitter on Enfield Road in Clarington. CHEX-TV-2 was originally a CBC Television affiliate until August 31, 2015, when it became an affiliate of CTV. CKWS-DT (channel 11) is a television station in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, part of the Global Television Network. Owned and operated by network parent Corus Entertainment, the station maintains studios on Queen Street in downtown Kingston, and its transmitter is located near Highway 95 on Wolfe Island, south of the city. History CKWS signed-on December 18, 1954, as an affiliate of the CBC network. CKWF-FM is a radio station in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, broadcasting at 101.5 FM, with an active rock format branded as "The Wolf 101.5". The station is owned by Corus Entertainment. History The station began broadcasting in 1947 as CHEX-FM. In 1976, the call letters were changed to CFMP-FM ("FMP" stands for FM Peterborough). Over the years since CHEX-FM went on the air in the 1940s, the station underwent numerous ownership, technical and format changes. On February 14, 1992, the station rebranded as ''The Wolf'', adopting a rock format and changing its call letters to CKWF-FM. In January 1998, the transmitter tower for CKWF-FM, and its sister station, CHEX-DT, was severely damaged due to ice buildup on the structure. Bancroft, Ontario
Bancroft () is a town located on the York River (Ontario), York River in Hastings County in the Canadian province of Ontario. It was first settled in the 1850s by descendants of the United Empire Loyalists and Irish immigrants. From the mid-1950s to about 1982, mining was the primary industry. A village until 1999, Bancroft then merged with Dungannon Township to form the Town of Bancroft. The population at the time of the 2021 Census was 4,065; the regional population is 60,000.
