CJYM (1330 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format. Licensed to Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada, it serves west central Saskatchewan. History It first began broadcasting in 1966 under the call letters CKKR. CJYM is a Class B AM station which broadcasts with a power of 10,000 watts daytime and nighttime. Kindersley
Kindersley is a town surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290 in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located along Highway 7, a primary highway linking Calgary, Alberta and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. At a population of 4,597 in 2016, it is an established industrial base for the resource-rich west-central region of the province and a service centre to the oil and gas industry and agriculture production. Classic Hits
Classic hits is a radio format which generally includes songs from the top 40 music charts from the late 1960s to the early 2000s, with music from the 1980s serving as the core of the format. Music that was popularized by MTV in the early 1980s and the nostalgia behind it is a major driver to the format. It is considered the successor to the oldies format, a collection of top 40 songs from the late 1950s through the late 1970s that was once extremely popular in the United States and Canada.
