Tercera Federación, previously known as Tercera RFEF, is the fifth tier of the Spanish football league system. It is below the ''La Liga'', ''Segunda División'', and its fellow semi-professional divisions '' Primera Federación'' and ''Segunda Federación''. It was founded in 1929 as the third tier, and dropped down to the fourth and fifth tiers in 1977 and 2021, respectively. The 2024–25 Tercera Federación season is the fourth for the Tercera Federación, the national fifth level in the Spanish football league system. It consists of 17 groups with 18 teams each, and one group with 19 teams. 2020–21 Tercera División
The 2020–21 Tercera División was the last for this league as the fourth tier of Spanish football. It began in October 2020 and ended in June 2021 with the second phase and promotion play-off final in the Canarian group. Because the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) suspended the previous season on 11 March 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain, the RFEF announced on 6 May the termination of that season, the revocation of all relegations from the Segunda B and Tercera divisions, and the expansion of both leagues. Each regional federation was allowed to plan its own group for the 2020–21 season and as this season became somewhat shorter than usual, the RFEF recommended the subdivision of each region into two groups in the first phase for ease of scheduling, with a final phase in which the teams regrouped based on initial positions. 2019–20 Copa Del Rey
The 2019–20 Copa del Rey was the 118th staging of the Copa del Rey (including two seasons where two rival editions were played). In its original format, the winners were assured a place in the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League group stage, however this place was forfeited under the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain, with the two finalists (Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad) opting instead to delay the date of the postponed match. Both finalists qualified for the four-team 2021 Supercopa de España. The defending champions Valencia were eliminated by Granada in the quarter-finals. Las Pedroñeras
Las Pedroñeras is a small town and Municipalities of Spain, municipality in the province of Province of Cuenca, Cuenca, in the central region of the autonomous communities of Spain, autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, southwestern Spain. It was founded around 1500, and it is believed that the name comes from "Pedro" (Stone in Spanish) + "Heras" (Farming Field in Spanish).
