Club Deportivo Guadalajara, S.A.D. is a Spanish football club based in Guadalajara, in the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha. Founded in 1947 it currently plays in , holding home matches at '' Estadio Pedro Escartín'', with a capacity for 6,000 seats. History Guadalajara was founded on 10 January 1947, playing its first match in the amateur league against Real Ávila CF, a 2–1 win. In 1970 its grounds, ''Pedro Escartín'' (in honour of a former referee), were inaugurated. On 18 July 1985, on the day of the club hymn's official presentation, the club first appeared in the Copa del Rey, against Rayo Vallecano. It would spend the first sixty years of its existence in the fourth division and the regional leagues. Guadalajara first reached the third level at the end of 2006–07, after a 3–2 aggregate win against UD Las Palmas Atlético in the playoffs. Estadio Pedro Escartín is a multi-use stadium in Guadalajara, Spain. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium of CD Guadalajara of the Segunda División. The stadium holds 8,000 spectators and opened in 1967. The stadium is named after Pedro Escartín. 1952–53 Tercera División
The 1952–53 Tercera División season was the 17th since its establishment. Format 99 clubs participated in 6 geographic groups. One club, Tomelloso CF, withdrew at the start of the season. The 6 group winners were promoted to the Segunda División. The 6 runners-up joined the teams in 12th and 13th place in Segunda División Grupo I and the team in 13th place in Segunda División Grupo II to form one play-off group of 5 teams (Grupo I) and another of 4 teams (Grupo II). The 1951–52 Tercera División season was the 16th since its establishment. Format 16 clubs in 6 geographic groups (96 clubs) participated. Three withdrew before the end of the season. The 6 group winners were promoted to the Segunda División. The 2012–13 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 82nd since its establishment.
