	CD Benicarló Club Deportivo Benicarló, commonly referred to as Benicarló, is a Spanish football team based in Benicarló in the autonomous Valencian Community. Founded in 1921, it plays in , holding home games at ''Estadio Ángel "Pichi" Alonso'', with a capacity of 2,000 people. History Founded in 1921, Benicarló first reached the Tercera División in 1965, and played five consecutive seasons in the category before suffering relegation. After fluctuating between ''Tercera'' and the ''Regional Preferente'', the club suffered relegation to the ''Primera Regional'' in 2010. In 2012, Benicarló merged with neighbouring CF Sporting Benicarló, regaining their ''Preferente'' place. They returned to Tercera División after 29 years in 2020, but immediately suffered relegation. 	Benicarló Benicarló () is a city and municipality in the north of the province of Castelló, part of the Valencian Community, in the Mediterranean Coast of Spain, between the cities of Vinaròs and Peníscola, not too far south from the Ebre River. Tourism, agriculture and some manufacturing are the major industries. Benicarló is part of the Taula del Sénia free association of municipalities. Benicarló is served by a train station in the Valencia-Barcelona line, and is connected by road through the A7 Highway. 	Juan Ignacio Martínez Juan Ignacio Martínez Jiménez (; born 23 June 1964), commonly known by his initials JIM, is a Spanish football coach and former player, who played as a left back. He last managed Foolad in the Persian Gulf Pro League. Having only played as high as Segunda División B, he began managing at age 33 and led Levante, Valladolid and Almería in La Liga, and four clubs in the Segunda División. Abroad, he had spells in Kuwait, China and Iran. Playing career Martínez was born in Alicante. After playing youth football for both Alicante CF and Elche CF he competed only at amateur level during his career, never in higher than the third division.
