2016–17 LEB Oro Season
The 2016–17 LEB Oro season will be the 21st season of the Spanish basketball second league LEB Oro. Dates must be determined yet. Teams On 20 July 2016 the Spanish Basketball Federation confirmed the expansion of the league to 18 teams. The 2010–11 season was the last one with this number. Despite its promotion, on 23 July 2016 Sáenz Horeca Araberri Basket announced that it could not fulfill the requirements in the league. However, almost one month later the club was allowed to participate in the league. San Sebastián Gipuzkoa BC
Donosti Gipuzkoa Basket 2001 Saskibaloi Kirol Elkartea S.A.D., commonly known as Gipuzkoa Basket and as Acunsa GBC for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in San Sebastián, Gipuzkoa, Spain. The team plays in the LEB Oro. Their home arena is Donostia Arena. History Gipuzkoa Basket started competing in LEB 2, third tier. After a first season where the club finished in 11th position out of sixteen teams, it ceased in activity until 2004, when it came back to LEB 2. In the 2004–05 LEB 2 season, despite finishing in the second position of the regular season, Gipuzkoa BC was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the promotion playoffs by Ciudad de La Laguna. FC Barcelona Bàsquet B
FC Barcelona Bàsquet B (English: FC Barcelona Basketball B), commonly referred to as FC Barcelona B () and colloquially known as Barça B (), is the reserve team of the FC Barcelona. The team currently plays in the Spanish 4th-tier level Tercera FEB. History In 2003, Barcelona B won the amateur Spanish 4th-tier level Liga EBA, and thus got promoted to the LEB 2 division, but afterwards, they renounced their spot. After an agreement between FC Barcelona and CB Cornellà, for Cornellà to collaborate again as a reserve team of FC Barcelona; the 'B' team was folded by Barcelona, between 2005 and 2010. In 2010, FC Barcelona B was re-opened, and played in the LEB Plata division. The Multiusos Ciudad de Cáceres is a multi-purpose arena, sports arena located in Cáceres, Spain, Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. It has a capacity of 6,550 spectators. Club Bàsquet Prat is a basketball team based in El Prat de Llobregat, Catalonia (Spain). The team currently plays in league LEB Plata. History Basketball arrived to El Prat de Llobregat in 1932 with the constitution of the ''Esplai Grupo 49'' in the Federation of Young Christians of Catalonia. Basketball continued being played in the parish of Sant Pere i Sant Pau before 1951, when the Club Bàsquet Prat is founded. The club started playing in the regional leagues until 1962, when the club achieves promotion the Spanish second division for the first time in its history; remaining in the league after their debut season, by winning the relegation playoffs. Club Baloncesto Peñas Huesca is a Spanish professional basketball team based in Huesca, Aragón. The team currently plays in league LEB Plata. History The team played in Liga ACB, where they stayed from 1983 to 1996. After winning the relegation play-off, the sold their spot in the league to Baloncesto Fuenlabrada and they joined the new second tier league, Liga LEB.
