C.J. Miles
Calvin Andre "C. J." Miles Jr. (born March 18, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the NBA G League Ignite of the NBA G League. A native of Dallas, Miles was drafted in 2005 NBA draft, 2005 by the Utah Jazz after finishing high school. High school career Miles attended Skyline High School (Dallas), Skyline High School for Architecture in Dallas, where he was named to the Parade All-America Boys Basketball Team, ''Parade'' All-American First Team. He averaged 23.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists as a junior and 23.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists as a senior. Miles led Skyline to the Class 5A Region II quarterfinals as a senior and was named All-Dallas Area Player of the Year by The Dallas Morning News. 2005 McDonald's All-American Boys Game
The 2005 McDonald's All-American Boys Game was an All-star basketball game played on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Joyce Center in South Bend, Indiana, home of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The game's rosters featured the best and most highly recruited high school boys graduating in 2005. The game was the 28th annual version of the McDonald's All-American Game first played in 1978. The 48 players were selected from 2,500 nominees by a committee of basketball experts. They were chosen not only for their on-court skills, but for their performances off the court as well. 2005 NBA Draft
The 2005 NBA draft took place on June 28, 2005, in the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City. In basketball, an assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads directly to a score by field goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the basket.
