Borbidge Ministry
The Borbidge Ministry was a Ministry of the Government of Queensland, led by National Party Premier Rob Borbidge and his deputy, Liberal leader Joan Sheldon. It commenced on 19 February 1996 after the Goss Ministry, led by Premier Wayne Goss of the Labor Party, resigned following the loss of the Mundingburra by-election two weeks earlier. The Ministry
In constitutional usage in Commonwealth realms, a ministry (usually preceded by the definite article, i.e., the ministry) is a collective body of government ministers led by a head of government, such as a prime minister. It is described by Oxford Dictionaries as "a period of government under one prime minister". Tony FitzGerald
Gerald Edward "Tony" Fitzgerald (born 26 November 1941) is a former Australian judge, who presided over the Fitzgerald Inquiry. The report from the inquiry led to the resignation of the Premier of Queensland Joh Bjelke-Petersen, and the jailing of several ministers and a police commissioner. He was the youngest person to be appointed as a judge of the Federal Court of Australia. Early life Tony Fitzgerald was born in a cottage at Sandgate, Queensland. He attended high school at St Patrick's College, Shorncliffe and later the University of Queensland, initially studying engineering and then switching to law. He graduated in 1964 with an LLB and was admitted to the bar that same year. Career In 1975, Fitzgerald became a QC. Trevor John Perrett (born 2 August 1941 in Kingaroy, Queensland) is a former Australian politician. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1988 to 1998, representing the electorate of Barambah. He was a National Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1983 to 2001, representing Condamine until 1992 and Western Downs thereafter. Robert Joseph Quinn (born 9 September 1947 in Murwillumbah, NSW) is an Australian Liberal Party politician in the Queensland parliament. He was leader of the Queensland Liberal Party from 2001 until being ousted on 7 August 2006 by Bruce Flegg. Quinn was a schoolteacher before entering politics.
