Boaz Evron ( he, בועז עברון, June 6, 1927 - September 15, 2018), alternatively transliterated Boas Evron was a left-wing Israeli journalist and critic. Biography Evron was born in Jerusalem. He attended Herzliya Hebrew High School and Hebrew University. Evron's family had lived in Palestine since the early nineteenth century; he is the great-grandson of Yoel Moshe Salomon, one of the founders of Petah Tikva. He was a member of Lehi (group), Lehi and the Canaanism, Canaanite movement early in his life and remains critical of Zionism and supportive of some of Canaanism's tenets. In 1956 he co-founded the political group Semitic Action. His writings were published in Semitic Action's journal ''Etgar'' and in ''Tzipor HaNefesh'', a paper edited by Amos Kenan and Dahn Ben-Amotz. He worked for ''Haaretz'' from 1956 to 1964 and for ''Yediot Aharonot'' from 1964 to 1992. Norman Finkelstein
Norman Gary Finkelstein (; born December 8, 1953) is an American political scientist, activist, former professor, and author. His primary fields of research are the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and the politics of the Holocaust. He is a graduate of Binghamton University and received his Ph.D. in political science at Princeton University. He has held faculty positions at Brooklyn College, Rutgers University, Hunter College, New York University, and DePaul University, where he was an assistant professor from 2001 to 2007. In 2007, after a highly publicized feud between Finkelstein and Alan Dershowitz, an academic opponent, Finkelstein was denied tenure at DePaul. He was placed on administrative leave for the 2007–08 academic year, and on September 5, 2007, he announced his resignation after coming to a settlement with the university on largely undisclosed terms.
