Bill Casey (Gaelic Footballer)
William Robert Casey (23 May 1918 – 3 March 1999) was an Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Dingle and later Lispole and was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 1938 until 1949. His nephew Brian Mullins played with Dublin in the 1970s and 1980s winning 4 All Ireland titles. Dingle GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Kerry, Ireland. They compete in the Kerry Senior Football Championship and wear red and white. Munster ( gle, an Mhumhain or ) is one of the provinces of Ireland, in the south of Ireland. Dingle (Irish: ''An Daingean'' or ''Daingean Uí Chúis'', meaning "fort of Ó Cúis") is a town in County Kerry, Ireland. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula, it sits on the Atlantic coast, about southwest of Tralee and northwest of Killarney. Lios Póil (anglicized Lispole) is a Gaeltacht village in County Kerry, Ireland. It is on the Dingle Peninsula, 8 km east of the town of Dingle and 40 km west of Tralee on the N86 National Secondary Route. Transport Bus Éireann services between Tralee and Dingle on the 275 route serve Lispole. The Tralee and Dingle narrow gauge railway ran through Lispole, and a viaduct on the line still stands near the village.
