Bigg Boss (Hindi Season 1)
''Bigg Boss'' is the first season of the Indian reality TV programme ''Bigg Boss''. It aired on Sony Entertainment Television from 3 November 2006 to 26 January 2007, a total of 86 days. Unlike other versions of '' Big Brother'', the Indian version uses celebrities as housemates, not members of the general public. It was hosted by Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi. The series ended on 26 January 2007 with Rahul Roy becoming the winner while Carol Gracias became the runner-up. Rakhi Sawant returned in ''Bigg Boss 14'' and ''Bigg Boss 15'' while Kashmera Shah returned in '' Bigg Boss 14''. Production The show is based on the '' Big Brother'' format developed by John de Mol. A number of contestants (known as "housemates") lived in a purpose-built house and were isolated from the rest of the world. Arshad Warsi
Arshad Warsi (born 19 April 1968) is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. He is the recipient of several awards including a Filmfare Award from five nominations and is noted for acting in varied film genres. Before making his acting debut, also served as an assistant director to Mahesh Bhatt in ''Kaash'' (1987) and also choreographed a song in ''Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja'' (1993). Ravi Kishan Shukla (; born 17 July 1969), popularly known as Ravi Kishan, is an Indian actor, politician, film producer and television personality. He currently serves as Member of parliament, Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur. His film works are predominantly in Bhojpuri and Hindi cinema, as well as Telugu cinema. ''Nach Baliye'' () is an Indian Hindi-language celebrity dance reality television series that airs on Star Plus.
