Beware of Darkness is an American rock band that consisted of vocalist/guitarist Kyle Nicolaides, bassist Daniel Curcio, and drummer Lionel Forrester Jr. Their debut album, ''Orthodox'' was released May 7, 2013. Their second album Are You Real? was released on September 16, 2016. History 2010–2011: Early years Beware of Darkness, named after George Harrison's 1970 song " Beware of Darkness," formed in 2010 after Kyle Nicolaides met Tony Cupito at one of Kyle's acoustic solo shows in downtown Los Angeles at an RnB club called First and Hope. The two began playing shows with various bass players until they met Daniel Curcio, who was visiting Santa Monica after finding out he had a long lost half brother living there. Their first show was at the Roxy Theatre in LA. The Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins (also referred to as simply Smashing Pumpkins) are an American alternative rock band from Chicago. Formed in 1988 by frontman and guitarist Billy Corgan, bassist D'arcy Wretzky, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, the band has undergone several line-up changes since their reunion in 2006, with Corgan being the sole constant member since its inception. Social Distortion is an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. The band currently consists of Mike Ness (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jonny Wickersham (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Brent Harding (bass, backing vocals), David Hidalgo Jr. (drums), and David Kalish (keyboards). Starting as a hardcore punk band in the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Social Distortion went on a temporary hiatus in the mid-1980s, due to Ness's drug addiction and troubles with the law which resulted in extended stints in various rehabilitation centers that lasted for two years. Following their reformation, the band has shifted its style to a country, blues and early rock and roll-influenced style of punk. The Village (also known as Village Recorders, or the Village Recorder) is a recording studio located at 1616 Butler Avenue in West Los Angeles, California. History The building was built by the Freemasons in 1922 and was originally a Masonic temple. It remained that way until the 1960s, when Maharishi Mahesh Yogi used the building as a center for Transcendental Meditation. The temple was converted into a recording studio in 1968 by composer and meatpacking heir Geordie Hormel. The Village is home to a vintage Neve 8048 console as well as two Neve 88R consoles. The Village is renowned for its extensive inventory of vintage microphones and outboard gear. Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. They were formed by Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist.
