Beijing Capital Garrison Honor Guard Battalion
The Beijing Garrison Honor Guard Battalion (), officially the PLA Honour Guard, is a ceremonial Guard of honour, honour guard and specialised unit of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). It is composed of representatives of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force, People's Liberation Army Navy, Navy, and People's Liberation Army Air Force, Air Force. Male soldiers in the battalion must be at least 180 cm tall, while females must be at least 173 cm tall. This honor guard battalion, while reporting directly to the Central Military Commission (China), Central Military Commission, falls under the operational control of the Central Theater Command. During parades, the battalion is led by a color guard detail bearing the PLA flag, a tradition which began in 1981. The 2015 China Victory Day parade was a military parade held along Chang'an Avenue, Beijing, on 3 September 2015 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day of World War II. Yan'an Airport
Yan'an Nanniwan Airport is a dual-use military and public airport serving the city of Yan'an in northern Shaanxi Province. It is located in Liulin Town (), Baota District, southwest of the city center. Yan'an was formerly served by Yan'an Ershilipu Airport. In 2002, the Yan'an city government proposed the construction of a new airport to replace Ershilipu and it was approved by the Chinese national government in 2009.
