Bailey Warren
Bailey Warren (born ) is a pet dog belonging to United States Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. A male golden retriever, Bailey played a role in Warren's 2020 presidential campaign and was a fixture on the campaign trail, appearing in selfies alongside his owners. Activities Bailey was a 2018 gift from Warren's husband, Bruce Mann. The couple told CNN in an October 2019 interview that they had long been dog people, and that Bailey helped them keep calm and maintain "the illusion of normalcy". They had previously owned another golden retriever, Otis, who died in 2012. Fort Dodge is a city in, and the county seat of, Webster County, Iowa, United States, along the Des Moines River. The population was 24,871 in the 2020 census, a decrease from 25,136 in 2000. Fort Dodge is a major commercial center for North Central and Northwest Iowa. It is located on U.S. Routes 20 and 169. History Fort Dodge traces its beginnings to 1850 when E Company of the 6th Infantry were sent from Fort Snelling to erect and garrison a fort at the junction of the Des Moines River and Lizard Creek. Major (Joe Biden's Dog)
Major (born January 17, 2018) is a German Shepherd formerly owned by Joe Biden's family. Major, who was born in 2018, is the first shelter dog to live in the White House. Previously, President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie had also owned two German Shepherds. Major was a rescue from a litter that had been exposed to "something toxic" in their home, and their owner was unable to afford the expense of veterinary care for them. He was fostered by the Bidens earlier that year from the Delaware Humane Association's shelter and has been with them since late 2018. On the day Joe Biden adopted the dog from the shelter, he stayed "telling stories and taking selfies with staffers" for over an hour. Champ (November 11, 2008 – June 19, 2021) was a German Shepherd owned by Joe Biden's family. He joined them in living at the White House in 2021. Champ was the older of the two German Shepherds the Bidens owned at the start of his presidency (with their younger German Shepherd being Major). Biography Biden promised his wife he would purchase a dog after the 2008 presidential election irrespective of whether he and Barack Obama won or lost the race. Jill Biden taped different pictures of dogs on seats of Biden's campaign plane for him to see. He purchased the dog as a puppy from a breeder in Pennsylvania, and it was named Champ (born November 11, 2008) by his granddaughters. Golden Retriever
The Golden Retriever is a Scottish breed of retriever dog of medium size. It is characterised by a gentle and affectionate nature and a striking golden coat. It is commonly kept as a pet and is among the most frequently registered breeds in several Western countries. It is a frequent competitor in dog shows and obedience trials; it is also used as a gundog, and may be trained for use as a guide dog. The breed was created by Sir Dudley Marjoribanks at his Scottish estate Guisachan in the late nineteenth century.
