Bülowsvej
Bülowsvej is a street in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It runs from Gammel Kongevej in the south to Åboulevard in the north, linking Madvigs Allé with Brohusgade. The University of Copenhagen's Frederiksberg Campus (University of Copenhagen), Frederiksberg Campus dominates the west side of the street with its large main building from 1895. The east side of the street is home to one of Denmark's oldest neighbourhoods of single family detached homes. History Bülowsvej runs approximately where the first part of Ladegårdsvej was constructed in approximately 1574 but the name is first mentioned in 1770. The modern street takes its name after Frederik Christoffer Bülow who was inspector at Åboulevard, Ladegården. Frederiksberg Campus is one of the four main campuses of University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located in Frederiksberg and is home to large parts of the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Science, Faculty of Science' activities within the fields of natural science and biosciences as well as part of the UCPH School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, including the University Hospital for Companion Animals. Royal Veterinary And Agricultural University
The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (, abbr. KVL, , abbr. RVA) was a veterinary and agricultural science university in Denmark. It was founded in 1856 and operated until 2007, when it became a part of the University of Copenhagen. It had its headquarters in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. History The university was founded in 1856. Its main building was inaugurated in 1858. The Royal Veterinarian School moved from Sankt Annæ Gade into the main building after its inauguration. On January 1, 2007, the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (RVA University) was merged into the University of Copenhagen and was renamed as the Faculty of Life Sciences. Amalievej 2 (Frederiksberg)
Amalievej is a street in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark, linking Bülowsvej in the west with H. C. Ørsteds Vej in the east. The western end of the street is lined with large late 19th-century villas while its eastern end is dominated by taller buildings. History The street was constructed by Frederik Bülow in approximately 1852 as one of the first streets in a new neighbourhood of single family detached homes. The street was initially called Amaliegade but the name was changed to Amalievej to avoid confusion with Amaliegade in Copenhagen. It was named after Amalie Dohlmann, a daughter of the owner of nearby SvanemosegårdFrits August Dohlmann. Her sister was the painter Augusta Dohlmann.
