Børge Petersen-Øverleir
Børge Petersen-Øverleir (born 3 February 1967 in Hemnesberget, Norway) is a Norwegian guitarist, raised in Bergen and Bodø (town), Bodø, early active in heavy rock, autodidact in jazz centered around in Bodø. Biography Petersen-Øverleir has collaborated on several recordings, including with Jan Gunnar Hoff, Henning Gravrok and Tore Johansen, as well as in trio with Tore Johansen and Arild Andersen. Other cooperation has been on records and tours with Anita Skorgan, Kari Bremnes, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Halvdan Sivertsen, Søyr, Karoline Krüger, Ketil Bjørnstad, Kine Hellebust, Maria Solheim and Jørn Hoel, among others. He has also been record producer for Eva Trones' releases of Terje Nilsens releases of children songs. Hemnesberget
Hemnesberget is a village in Hemnes Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the Hemnes peninsula which lies on the south side of the Ranfjorden. Hemnes Church is located in this village. The village has a population (2024) of 1,335 and a population density of . World War II The village was partially destroyed in the land fighting first and the later by naval gunfire, with the sinking of the Hurtigruten ship and the coaster , in the days following 10 May 1940. Jørn Hoel (born 27 July 1957) is a Norwegian composer, guitarist and singer. Hoel was born in Tromsø. Amy Jane Studt (, born 22 March 1986) is a British singer, songwriter and musician from London. Growing up in a musical family, with her father a violinist and conductor who had toured with Roy Orbison, and her mother a pianist, Studt began writing music at the age of six, teaching herself piano, guitar, and oboe. At 12 years old she contracted the rare bone disease osteomyelitis in her hip, leaving her bedridden. Studt used this time for her hobbies, and two years later, with the advice of her father, she recorded her first two demo albums which would go on to get her signed to Polydor. Studt released her first single " Just a Little Girl" in July 2002. The single peaked at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. ACT Music
ACT is a German record label founded in 1992 by Siegfried Loch. It is a division of ACT Music + Vision founded by Loch and Annette Humpe in 1988. ACT started as a pop music label but folded soon after it started. Loch turned it into a jazz label, at first reissuing music he had recorded for Liberty, Philips, and WEA before turning to new recordings. The band was formed in 1993 with a line-up composed of lead vocalist Simone Eriksrud, bassist Jonny Sjo and drummer Kim Ofstad. Oofotr
Oofotr is a Norwegian music group consisting of jazz musicians from Narvik Municipality. They arrange traditional music from Ofoten and had their debut in Kjeldebotn Church, 1994 with music contributions from local historian Magnus Pettersen from Ballangen Municipality. After a series of performances on the north Norwegian music and album, belonged new material from Tromsø Museum and a second album in 2001. The band combines ambient and world music and is partly inspired by Sandbakk's engagement with the Trondheim choir Chorus, as in 1981–82 recordings of Ballangen music. "Oofotr" comes from Ofoten in Aslak Bolt's land register.
