Börje Fredriksson
Börje Fredriksson (June 30, 1937 – September 21, 1968) was a Swedish jazz tenor saxophonist. Fredriksson was born in Eskilstuna, Sweden. He played at the beginning of the 1960s in a quartet with Bobo Stenson (piano), Palle Danielsson (bass) and Fredrik Norén (drums), as well as in groups with Eje Thelin and Bernt Rosengren. He played with the guitarist Rune Gustafsson in 1961 and with Bosse Broberg's quartet in 1962 at the Golden Circle Jazz Club in Stockholm. He recorded ''Intervall'', (Columbia 1966), together with the posthumous, self-titled ''Börje Fredriksson'', (EMI/Odeon, 1969). In 1968, he killed himself. Fredriksson's sheet music was left in the hands of Bobo Stenson, and in 1994 he, Danielsson and Norén with saxophonist Joakim Milder, recorded an album of Fredriksson's music entitled ''Sister Maj's Blouse''. Joakim Milder
Joakim or Joacim is a male given name primarily used in Scandinavian languages, Estonian and Finnish. It is derived from a transliteration of the Hebrew יהוֹיָקִים, and literally means "lifted by Jehovah". In the Old Testament, Jehoiakim was a king of Judah. Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death. Risk factors for suicide include mental disorders, physical disorders, and substance abuse. Rune Urban Gustafsson (25 August 1933 – 15 June 2012) was a Swedish jazz guitarist and composer. He performed with Arne Domnérus, Jan Johansson, and Zoot Sims among others. Life and career Rune Gustafsson was born in 1933 in Gothenburg. He moved to Stockholm in the 1950s to work with Putte Wickman (Swedisk Jazz Kings, EP, 1957) and Arne Domnérus Radio band and Radio Jazz Group. His first issued recordings were ''Young Guitar'' (Metronome, MLP 15 072, 1961) with Arne Domnérus, Jan Johansson, Jimmy Woode, Bjarne Nerem, Börje Fredriksson and Jan Allan.
