''Böhse Onkelz'' (stylized in all-lowercase on the cover) is the 17th studio album of the German hard rock band Böhse Onkelz. The album is named after the band itself and was released on 28 February 2020. It is the second studio album after their comeback in 2014 and was published by the band-owned label Matapaloz. Content On the album, the band looks back on its 40-year-long history since its inception in 1980. The song "Kuchen und Bier" deals with this topic especially. There are songs about relationships ("Des Bruders Hüter") and social criticism ("Du hasst mich! Ich mag das!" and "Rennt!"). The "Prolog" is spoken by German actor Ben Becker.Booklet Reception Manuel Berger of ''laut.de'' gave the album 2 of 5 points. Kevin Russell (musician)
Kevin Richard Russell (born 12 January 1964) is an English singer and one of the three founding members of the rock band Böhse Onkelz. Despite singing exclusively in German he does not hold German citizenship. Biography His father is British, his mother is German. He was the band's lead singer from 1980 until the group broke up in 2005. Since 2012, he is the lead singer of the new band Veritas Maximus. In 2014, Böhse Onkelz reunited with Russell as their lead singer again. In October 2010, Russell was sentenced to two years and three months in prison for his role as driver in a hit-and-run accident near Frankfurt, driving under the influence of drugs and seriously injuring two people. Since 1986 Russell works as a tattoo artist. For example, the tattoo illustration on the cover of the 1992 album The Madman's Return of the German Eurodance group Snap! came from him.

Peter "Pe" Schorowsky (born 15 June 1964) is a German musician and a founding member of the rock band Böhse Onkelz. He played drums until the band's split in 2005. Biography Schorowsky is the second of four brothers born to a Catholic family in the Baviarian town of Hösbach. After completing his formal education, he trained as a welder. He currently lives with his family in Oberägeri, Switzerland. He met Stephan Weidner and Kevin Russell in his hometown of Hösbach. Matthias Röhr
Matthias "Gonzo" Röhr (born 16 April 1962) is a German musician who has been the guitarist of the rock band Böhse Onkelz since 1981. His stage name derives from ''Double Live Gonzo!'', an album by Ted Nugent. When Böhse Onkelz split up between 2005 and 2014, he was known as Matt Roehr. Early life Röhr grew up in the area of Frankfurt in a strictly Catholic family. Stephan Weidner (born 29 May 1963), also known as Der W, is a German musician, songwriter and producer. From 1980 to 2005, he was the bassist, songwriter and leader of the German rock band Böhse Onkelz. He was also a singer with Nordend Antistars, a collaboration with Sub7even singer Daniel Wirtz. In April 2008, Weidner's first solo album ''Schneller, Höher, Weidner'' was released.
