Böhler
Böhler was an Austrian trader for steel. It was founded in 1870 by the brothers Albert and Emil Böhler. Following World War II, the company was nationalized in 1946. It was merged with other Austrian steel companies to form the ''VÖEST-Alpine AG'', before being restructured into a subsidiary of said ''VÖEST-Alpine AG'' called ''Vereinigte Edelstahlwerke'' (German for 'United Stainless Steel Works'). After considerable losses, the ''VÖEST-Alpine AG'' and its subsidiaries were restructured again in 1988. The Böhler companies were merged with Uddeholms AB in 1991, following the acquisition of Uddeholm by VÖEST-Alpine Stahl AG in 1990. Voestalpine AG – stylized as voestalpine – is an Austrian steel-based technology and capital goods group based in Linz, Austria. The company is active in steel, automotive, railway systems, profilform and tool steel industries. As of 2017, it is one of the few profitable steel companies in Europe. 45 percent of its workforce is based in Austria. The Linz hot strip mill is a "fully integrated steel works" operated by voestalpine Stahl GmbH, a part of the steel division of voestalpine AG. Uddeholms AB is a multinational producer of high alloyed tool steel with production in Hagfors, Sweden. Since 1991, the company is part of the Austrian Böhler-Uddeholm group which in turn is part of the voestalpine AG group since 2007. Uddeholms AB has 800 Swedish and 3,000 total employees. Austrian National Library
The Austrian National Library (, ) is the largest library in Austria, with more than 12 million items in its various collections.
