Josef Bílý (30 June 1872 in Varvažov, Zbonín-Ochoz – 28 September 1941 in Prague) was a Czechs, Czech general and commander of the Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak national armed forces. Early life and education Bílý attended the State Real Gymnasium from 1883 to 1888. Military career Service in the Austro-Hungarian army After completing his studies at gymnasium, he studied at the Austria-Hungary, Austro-Hungarian Army's infantry cadet school in Trieste from 1888 to 1892. Joining the 15th Infantry Regiment in Tarnopol as a cadet in 1892, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 1894. From 1898 to 1900 he attended the Military College in Vienna, after which he served in the 7th Infantry Division in Osijek (Slavonia), then in Lviv and, beginning in 1906, in Trieste, having risen to the rank of captain in 1903. Lucie Bílá (born Hana Zaňáková on 7 April 1966) is a Czech pop singer. According to her label, EMI Czech Republic, the singer has sold over one million albums. She won the Czech musical award, Český slavík, 13 times, more than any other artist. Biography Lucie Bílá (born Hana Zaňáková) was born in the village of Otvovice in Czechoslovakia to Czech mother and Slovak father, where she was raised and where she attended a secondary school. Sydir Bily
Sidor Bely or Sydir Bily (1716 — 20 July 1788) was Kosh ataman of the Black Sea Cossack Host. Biography Bily was born in 1716 to a Cossack family near Kherson. He studied in the Kiev-Mohyla Academy after which he joined the Sich as a young man where he continued his studies in the Sich officer school. Due to his talents he was chosen to be an osaul. He took part in numerous sea and land campaigns on the Danube and in Crimea where he gained a reputation as a fine commander and seaman. In the 1760s he carried out special assignments for Petro Kalnyshevsky. Because of his intelligence and education he was always trusted and was popular. He travelled to St Petersburg with Kalnyshevsky and Antin Holovaty in January 1762 for the coronation of Catherine II. Věra Bílá (22 May 1954 – 12 March 2019) was a Czech vocalist and musician of Romani ethnicity. She initially gained acclaim performing Romani folk and pop songs and was the lead singer of the Czech recording act ''Kale'' with whom she performed songs in Romani, Czech, and Slovak. She was highly acclaimed, toured internationally and was often called the "Ella Fitzgerald of Gypsy music" or the "Queen of Romany" Biography Bílá, a Rokycany native, was the daughter of singer Karol Giňa. She lived and worked in the Czech Republic. In 1999 director Mira Erdevicki-Charap portrayed Bílá in the documentary ''Black and White in Colour''.
