Bình Long
Bình Long is a town of Bình Phước Province in the Southeast region of Vietnam. As of 2018, the district had a population of 105.520 and an area of 126.28 km2. The district capital lies at An Lộc ward. The town's former name is An Lộc. It is located approximately 90 km north of Ho Chi Minh City with a population of 8,599 (2009). An Lộc was formerly part of Bình Long Province before the merger with Phước Long Province to form Bình Phước Province. It became famous during the Vietnam War for being the location of the Battle of An Lộc in 1972. District-level Town (Vietnam)
A district-level town () is a type of second tier subdivision of Vietnam. District-level towns along with urban districts, districts, municipal cities, and provincial cites have equal status. Also by virtue of Decree No. 42/2009/ND-CP, towns are officially classified into Class-3 or Class-4. The towns may only be a capital of a province, but not of a municipality as the second tier subdivision. At the third tier, towns are divided into wards and communes. Most provincial capitals were once towns, but now most of them have become provincial cities. South Vietnam, officially the Republic of Vietnam (RVN; , VNCH), was a country in Southeast Asia that existed from 1955 to 1975. ''Jem and The Holograms'', also known as simply ''Jem'', is an American animated musical television series that ran from 1985 to 1988. The series is about record company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, and the adventures of her band Jem and The Holograms. The Battle of An Lộc was a major battle of the Vietnam War that lasted for 66 days and culminated in a victory for South Vietnam. The struggle for An Lộc, Bình Phước, An Lộc in 1972 was an important battle of the war, as South Vietnamese forces halted the North Vietnamese advance towards Saigon capital. This fighting which ensued became the most protracted conflict of the 1972 Easter Offensive. Regions Of Vietnam
The Vietnamese government often groups the various provinces and municipalities into three regions: Northern Vietnam, Central Vietnam, and Southern Vietnam.
