"Bésame" (English: "Kiss Me") is a song by Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco released by Enjoymusic as the lead single of his thirteenth studio album ''Intuición''. Background and release Gian Marco stated that the song was born when he was alone playing his charango which he states he always has with him because he feels the need to include something from his homeland. The song was released on June 18, 2018 on all digital platforms. A lyric video for the song was released on the same day on Gian Marco's official YouTube channel. The song topped the iTunes charts in Perú on the day of its release and became one of the most streamed songs on Spotify in Perú. It is considered as one of the best songs from the album. Commercial performance and reception The song had airplay success in Perú entering the charts from 2018-2019. Gian Marco Javier Zignago Alcóver (born 17 August 1970) is a Peruvian musician and actor. He has won the Latin Grammy Award for the Best Singer-Songwriter Album three times. First in 2005 for his album ''Resucitar'', in 2011 for his album ''Días Nuevos'', and in 2012 for his album ''20 Años''. Gian Marco was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Peru. ''Intuición'' is the thirteenth studio album by Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco released by Enjoymusic Plubishing on October 5, 2018. It was his first album release in 3 years and the last one he released in the 2010s decade. Promotion A total of 8 songs were released as singles in order to promote the album including a new version of the song ''Empecemos A Vivir'' featuring Mexican singer Carlos Rivera. 7 out of 8 singles also had music videos uploaded to Gian Marco's YouTube channel with the video for "Me Gusta Mi Soledad" being shot in a single take for an acoustic version of the song.
