Béloko
Béloko is a village located near Central African Republic-Cameroon border in Nana-Mambéré Prefecture. History Central African Republic Civil War (2012-present) ''Haut Conseil de Résistance et du Redressement National'' (HCRRN) captured Béloko from ex-Seleka on 10 January 2014. Nine days later, ex-Seleka militias attacked the HCRRN outpost in Béloko and the attack was foiled. CPC rebels seized Béloko from government forces on 23 December 2020, causing the residents to take refuge in Cameroon. Six days later, CPC withdrew from Béloko. Cantonnier
Cantonnier is a border town situated near Cameroon–Central African Republic border in Nana-Mambéré Prefecture. History French troops entered Cantonnier in December 2013. In January 2014, Anti-balaka captured Cantonnier from Seleka group. MISCA forces clashed with Anti-balaka on 11 February 2014, killing two militias and six civilians. A clash between self-defense group and Anti-balaka occurred in the town on 23 August 2014 due to the Anti-balaka's harassment towards town residents. One Anti-balaka member and a woman were killed. MINUSCA forces attacked Anti-balaka in Cantonnier on 19 November 2014 after the failed disarmament attempt of the militia. Seven people were killed and dozens injured. The town residents fled to Béloko. Afterward, MINUSCA took control of the town. Baboua, Central African Republic
Baboua is a town and an administrative area (sub-prefecture) located within the prefecture of Nana-Mambéré in the Central African Republic (CAR), approximately north-west of Bangui, the nation's capital. The town is located on the CAR's border with Cameroon, and is across the border from the Cameroonian town of Garoua-Boulaï. Baboua is home to the Evangelical Lutheran Seminary and Lutheran Bible School. Tongo Lutheran Church is also located in Baboua. History Since around 2013 Baboua area had been under control of FDPC armed group. On 16 July 2015 multiple people including major, sub-prefect and priest were kidnapped by FDPC in Baboua. The Central African Armed Forces (; FACA) are the armed forces of the Central African Republic and have been barely functional since the outbreak of the Central African Republic Civil War, civil war in 2012.
