Bánkút (Nagyvisnyó)
Bánkút is a ski resort in Northern Hungary in the Bükk National Park. It lies 32 km west from Miskolc and 800–930 metres above sea level; officially belongs to the village of Nagyvisnyó. It has six ski trails of various difficulty and two beginner slopes, its eight ski lifts can lift 2000 persons per hour. There are two cross-country ski trails, 3.5 km and 8 km long. In ski season MVK Zrt., the public transport company of Miskolc operates a bus line between the city's Diósgyőr district and Bánkút. There are three cross country ski courses - 3.5, 5 and 8 kilometres long. Bükk National Park
Bükk National Park () is a national park in the Bükk Mountains of Northern Hungary, near Miskolc. It was founded in 1977 as the third national park in the country. It contains 431.3 km2 (of which 37.74 km2 is under increased protection). Mountainous and forested, Bükk is Hungary's largest national park and is situated in the northern mountains, between Szilvásvárad and Lillafüred. Bükk's important geological features include various karst formations within its limestone mountains - particularly caves (once inhabited by pre-historic people), swallow-holes, and ravines. Diósgyőr
Diósgyőr (Hungarian: Help:IPA/Hungarian, [ˈdioːʒɟøːr]) is a historical town in Hungary, today it is a part of Miskolc. The medieval castle in Diósgyőr was a favourite holiday residence of Hungarian kings and queens; today it is a popular tourist attraction. The city part has a heavy industrial background. The Diósgyőri VTK, football team of Miskolc is also named after Diósgyőr; DVTK Stadion, their soccer stadium lies within the district.
